Our story
Built for unhurried stays
Gates Hotel began as a private residence for travelers who valued quiet rooms, comfort, and attentive service. The house still holds its original proportions: high ceilings, long corridors, and a lobby designed for conversation.
Today the hotel remains independently minded. Restoration has been careful. Gold leaf, oak panelling, and stone floors were conserved. New comforts — rooftop, conference centre, and the Pool — were added without disturbing the rhythm of the house.
Our team is small by design. Many colleagues have served here for more than a decade. They know the building, the neighbourhood, and the particular way our guests like to arrive.
